In 2000, Urgo revolutionised the wound healing market by inventing The TLC Technology. In 2007, Urgo did the same again with UrgoStart®, the first dressing to kick-start the healing process.
Today, Urgo offers a broad range of products that meet the needs of the medical profession and help improve the quality of care for the most difficult wounds (burns, ulcers and pressure sores).
At the end of 2006, Urgo doubled its market potential thanks to the creation of a joint venture with Hollister Incorporated in the US. Located in Libertyville near Chicago, Hollister Wound Care distributes a broad range of wound care products on the American market.
By gaining a foothold in new regions and continuing its intensive research and development programme, Urgo is aiming to become the European wound care sector leader.
